Overview -----------------
For those of you interested in one or more of the following scenarios, this road will
most likely suit you better than the Basic strategy:
- You have preexisting Perl utilities within your organization
and one or more personnel experienced with Perl programming who would prefer a more integral,
tunable and efficient means of participating in the GSAC.
- You have definite plans to implement (or already have) a
relational database server for your GSAC needs and wish to get a head start on utilizing a
prebuilt relational schema with supporting Perl libraries to integrate your GSAC activities
with other in-house applications/services.
- You plan to participate in the GSAC as a Retailer.
Should any of the above describe your situation or plans then you are a good candidate for
implementation of the more advanced Wholesaler and/or Retailer kits and are urged to contact
Michael Scharber for more information.
In particular, the Wholesaler kit is available for download here
if you care to get started right away.
These kits include the actual Perl libraries used by several GSAC utilities available on this
website, dozens of sample scripts, Data Definition Language (DDL) SQL scripts and configuration
information for a creating a valid GSAC schema and HTML documentation for each Perl
library.
